Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil or Nallur Murugan Kovil built in 948 AD, (the present one is built in 1749 AD) is one of the of the most significant Hindu temples in the Jaffna District of Sri Lanka. It stands in the town of Nallur.
In the battle of Vannarponnai after Sangili Kumara's defeat, the former Kanda Swami temple was leveled to the ground in 1620 by Philip de Oliveira, leaving no traces of its foundation.
